E-stim integration with SLR
The SLR haptics team is exploring the possibility of integrating e-stim devices with interactive scripts at SexLikeReal and we'd like to know your thoughts. Here's everything you need to know about estim tech and VR porn at SLR.
What is estim?
Estim involves electrical stimulation to genitalia - which some users find concerning. Our haptics team is looking for a sweet spot between pleasure and safety and ease/convenience of use. We've heard of exceptional pleasurable experiences so the goal is to make it work yet ensure safety at the same time. Estim manufacturers include those from E-Stim Systems, ErosTek and DG Lab.
Benefits of estim
- Estim devices can be used without having to be erect, making for a more relaxed and enjoyable experience
- The potential of pleasurable sensations is much greater (according to a post on the SLR forum)
Drawbacks of estim
- People are understandably more cautious due to the use of electrical stimuli applied to sensitive parts
- It is a relatively niche tech so much more research needs to be made before the SLR team feels comfortable supporting it across the entire platform.
When will e-stim devices be supported by SLR?
The current task is to ensure there's a max safety limit always applied that won't do any harm, yet maintain high pleasure, as well as make sure of a quick, convenient way to make it all connect and get set up to make it easy as possible for newcomers. However we expect this to happen sooner rather than later. Keep checking back for the latest updates.
Want to check out e-stim for yourself?
Interested? Look at the highly-regarded 2B or the DG Coyote (a user-friendly entry-level Estim toy), however be aware that they are currently out of stock and not accepting sales until v3.0 is released in several months. This is another highly recommended device, but the price point is higher and it seems to be less user-friendly, initially.
Join the discussion about estim devices and SLR over at the SLR forum - and this is another e-stim thread worth reading too. Your feedback is very welcome.
