New Haptics firmware tool for OSR2 devices
Great news for SLR haptics users! We’ve been working with the talented designer Tempest MAx to create firmware for the OSR2.
This firmware is the embedded software used to drive one of the Tempest MAx OSR2 robots. We have made an online tool that makes it super easy to upload, update and configure this firmware on one of these homebuild devices. The OSR2 stroker robots are impressive haptic devices, attracting a great deal of attention from the haptic community.
This arrives ahead of the upcoming SLR Stroker, which looks set to transform the haptic sex toy market.
You can find it at: Haptics firmware updater
SLR’s firmware is free to use and is based on ESP-IDF SDK. It runs FreeRTOS and works via supports Serial, BLE, WiFi data input and serial configuration. Press the "How to" button on the Uploader page for full instructions.
It’s very easy to install on the ESP32 via an online configurator. This means no messing about with binaries or Arduino IDE. The ultimate goal is to have seamless integration with the SLR platform.
If you have an OSR2, check it out and let us know your thoughts at the SLR forum or at Tempest MAx’s Discord server (you'll need a Patreon subscription) where you'll find a thread for this in the #Software-Exchange channel.
