What is the best haptic stroker for VR porn in 2024?

Alex Novak

Combining a sex toy & script with your SexLikeReal VR porn account can lead to the most immersive and mind-blowing experiences ever. The SLR forum is full of posts about how incredible it is, plus we have a full guide to the sex toy sript experience. But which is the best sex toy for this? We’ve written this guide to help you decide the best stroker on the market today.

Update!

Autoblow is now supported through Haptics Connect! We're working to get it fully integrated with SLR and the DeoVR app too, so stay tuned with our dedicated blog covering our developments with Autoblow AI.

Your Options

The best way to look at toys is to break things down into different categories, including price, ease-of-use, connectivity and other useful criteria. In the guide below, we’ll take a look at all the major sex toys that work with SLR and end by recommending the toy we recommend over all else.

Here are the toys we will be looking at: The Handy, Kiiroo Keon, Kiiroo Onyx+, Kiiroo Hot Octopuss Pulse Solo Interactive, Kiiroo Fleshlight Launch, Vorze A10 Piston SA, Vorze A10 Cyclone SA, Lovense Max 2, Lovense Nora, Lovense Gush, Lovense Calor, Lovense Edge 2, Lovense Hush 2, OSR2/SR6, Autoblow devices.

All the above options work with SLR, although some work better than others.

Price

Price is an important factor when buying a haptic sex toy, especially if it’s your first one. There’s a huge range on offer, from under $100, all the way up to $700. If you’re on a budget, there’s the Lovense Calor and the Lovense Max 2, both of which retail for $100. The Calor offers vibration, squeezing and heating, while the Max 2 offers vibration and suction. However, these devices are quite basic compared to what else is available.

At the higher end, there’s the Vorze Cyclone, retailing for $610 and the YHC SR6 at $700. The high-end SR6 has multiple features, but it is fairly rare (it's worth looking into the OSR2+ instead). The spiritual successor to the Fleshlight Launch, the $279 Kiiroo Keon offers single-axis stroking, at an appealing mid-to-high price point considering the build quality and features it offers.

Right in the sweet spot in the middle is The Handy sex toy, retailing at $190. Compared to the rest, this is the ideal balance of budget and features - not at the low end and not obscenely high cost. It’s worth noting that SexLikeReal has arrangements with many of the toy manufacturers, so if you buy them by clicking on our affiliate links above you can save money.

Features

You’ll find a vast gulf in terms of features in the haptic sex toy market. At the low end, the Lovense Calor only offers vibration, squeezing and heating, which suits its low price point. Similarly, the Pulse Solo and Lovense Gush are low-stimulation but nice-feeling toys that can be used without lube for longer and more relaxed sessions.

Whereas looking at The Handy, this single-axis toy is streamlined and efficient. You can replace the enclosed sleeve if you need to, or even use a sleeve from a different toy using the velcro grip. It’s simple but more than enough for most users. You can also increase the speed and stroke length manually on the device itself, if you want to take over from the automated script.

However, if you go all the way up to the SR6, you’ll find 6 full degrees of freedom, with a warmer and lube dispenser built in. This stroker really is the cutting edge of sex toys available today, but as well as being rare it might be overkill for some users. The OSR2+ offers great performance as you get maximum stroke length and script playback accuracy and fidelity. Be aware that it can get noisy - but you can manually replace the motor as well as other parts.

Design & Ease-of-Use

Again, there is a huge variety. The Fleshlight Launch has been discontinued and replaced with the Keon. This is designed well, with easy clean-up required and little fuss overall. Even better, this device is fully portable as it's wireless and can also use Fleshlight sleeves, so you can repurpose your existing non-haptic strokers. and can prove tricky to store. One useful benefit is that it is battery powered so you don’t have to have it plugged into the wall (although that is an option).

However, the Kiiroo Keon sometimes requires a neck strap, which is a clear indicator of inelegant design. Toys like The Onyx and The Handy can be used with one hand and easily stored, with an intuitive user interface.

The expensive SR6 is a complex item - described by someone in our focus group as looking “like a spider wants to eat your genitals”. The advanced features on offer comes at a cost - it requires a specialized set-up and a desk mount. The experience might be top of the range but the inconvenience can put many off.

Overall Experience

Based on feedback from our focus group and first-hand experience, we have positive words for the Keon. The setup time is so quick, meaning it can be used easily and quickly, and the clean-up time is minimal too while delivering a high-quality experience. While the more expensive devices offer some next-level features, their intricate design and sometimes confusing interface can detract from the experience for the casual user - though if money is no object and you're determined to have the very best experience available right now, it's worth looking at the OSR2+. .

But The Handy is the market leader for a reason. It's a simple, easy-to-use stroker with manual buttons for when the moment strikes, easily-cleaned and set-up and perfect for the typical user who doesn't want to spend too long setting his interactive equipment up and then cleaning down afterwards. For the first stroker purchase, it's a strong contender.

Connectivity

The Handy is the clear winner here. Connecting this model to SLR involves little more than plugging into the power supply and pressing a button to connect.

The design of all other interactive toys requires the use of the Haptics Connect app and a smartphone updated to Android or Apple 8.0. This adds extra steps to the process. However, The Handy is immediately compatible with SLR via WiFi - all you need is a single-press and your Handy sex toy will be connected to SLR so you can enjoy scripts and VR videos instantly.

Which haptic stroker is the best for VR porn in 2023?

Until the SLR stroker is released (see below), there is one clear winner: The Handy. This simple, well-designed toy might only work on a single axis but it works like a dream and feedback from SLR users is very positive. Best of all, it connects via WiFi in seconds to your SLR account, meaning all you need to do is sign up for the SLR Premium + Scripts Bundle and you’ll be immersed in ultra-realistic VR matched to split-second accuracy with your haptic device.

WINNER: The Handy

Future Models?

The good news is SexLikeReal has an entire department devoted to creating the ultimate haptic toy which we expect to release in 2024. This will take into account all the criteria looked at above, with a price point that should appeal to all VR fans.
