Is the PSVR2 any good for VR porn?

The Playstation VR2 headset was released in late February 2023, receiving positive reviews for delivering a high-quality VR gaming experience to the mainstream. It might be a great machine for VR gaming, but when it comes to PSVR porn, the PSVR2 falls behind on many important elements, and PS5 porn and Playstation porn is widely-regarded as a non-starter. Here’s what you need to know: 

Lacks access to all the next-gen VR porn features

No interactive haptic toys

The PSVR2 is not set up to support interactive adult sex toys, such as The Handy, or any of the other haptic devices supported by SLR on the Quest, Pico or PCVR VR headsets. This means PSVR2 users would miss out on one of the fastest-growing and most popular elements of the modern adult VR experience.

As well as this, you need a PS5 gaming machine to make things work, making the total cost nearly double this price. 

Requires cable

Along with all the other drawbacks, the PSVR2 also requires a constant connection to the PS5 via a cable. As yet, WiFi connectivity is not an option. This isn’t an immediate deal-breaker, particularly as some popular PCVR headsets also require cable connection. Still, it does mean the VR experience is a lot less comfy than that offered by standalone headsets offered by Meta and PICO. 

Conclusion

The PSVR2 may be an excellent VR gaming machine, bringing PC-quality VR game experiences to PS5 owners and the mainstream gaming community at large, but just like the underwhelming PS4 VR porn experience, it will never be a suitable machine for VR porn. Treat it like the Google Cardboard or Samsung Gear - useful tools for their time, but manifestly unsuited for immersive x-rate VR activities. 

How to watch VR porn on the PSVR
