SLR's amazing AR passthrough experience is now available on your mobile device! Now you can take out your phone and see the world's hottest models right there with you. You'll see the Passthrough option is now in Settings, and you can switch it on or off with a single click.

CGI Environments

We’ve found another great way to expand your potential for new experiences with Passthrough. Under our RenderPleasure banner, we've begun releasing Passthrough content within incredible computer-rendered environments. These range from cozy and contemporary, to exotic and fantastical. Check out Quid Pro Quo Stepbro (CGI) for a recent example. These is ideal those moments when you might not want passthrough to see your own real-life envronment, but still want an immersive experience that looks great and realistic. Requirements 

First, you need a VR headset with outward-facing cameras, such as the Quest 3 or Apple Vision Pro.

1. Update to the latest version of DeoVR and log into sexlikereal.com in the browser.
2. Go to Global Settings -> Personalize
3. Under "Virtual Environments" select Passthrough.*
4. Use the Passthrough VR tag on SLR to find suitable scenes and be sure to try the full-body suit scenes for ultimate immersion. 
5. SLR has developed an AI tool that will remove the background for all SLR videos called Alpha Channel. The first scene created with this revolutionary tool is now available, you can read more about it below. This AI-based technology is powerful and exciting, and constantly evolving. We'll keep you updated as we make more changes and improvements.  

*If you use the Valve Index headset, make sure to enable Room View in SteamVR.

Instructions

Step 1 

Select a video!

Click on the Passthrough toggle on the left-hand side to filter for Passthrough or Passthrough AI videos.

Additionally, passthrough-capable videos will have a yellow icon at the top left of the thumbnail for easy reference. 

Step 2

Activate Passthrough by clicking on the Passthrough icon in the player.

Step 3 

You may now fine tune any settings using the passthrough panel, if necessary. Most of the time these videos will work as-is, but your hardware, lighting conditions, and personal preferences may need accommodating. 

For AI passthrough videos, you have even more options.

POV Mode

You may want to remove the male performer from the visible layer of the video, allowing you to see your own body instead. We've included a selectable POV Mode for just that purpose. Switch it to Girl-only POV and the AI will automatically remove the male performer from visible layer of the video playback. 

If the video was filmed in a chromatic room specifically for Passthrough, you can also switch to classic passthrough mode, giving you more control over your experience than ever. Should you choose that option, you'll see all of the familiar options and tweaks that we make available for videos filmed in passthrough. You can adjust any of these to your liking.

Pro Tip: Oftentimes, our friendly and helpful users will drop their preferred settings in the comments section of a video. Don't forget to check the comments and you may just find exactly what you need!

Step 4 

Line up your body with the scene so the action you see matches your body - make sure to match your penis with the male talent for the best results. For scenes with multiple angles (eg. doggy, cowgirl, prone bone, etc) you may need to adjust some settings in the app, such as height, slide, roll, tilt, etc to make the camera line up perfectly with your body. Don't worry, the SLR devs are working on a solution to this involving customized timecode settings, which should adjust these properties automatically - these will be shared on SLR for all users. 

Color & black backgrounds

For black backgrounds, simply adjust the Falloff level until you can see both the model and your real-world surroundings.

For color backgrounds:

1. Set the Saturation and Brightness bars to 100.
2. Adjust the Hue bar, balancing your room background and the video subject.
3. Adjust the Saturation and Brightness bars until the Chroma Key Box matches the dominant color of the video’s background.

Using the chroma key tool

Using the player, you can apply the chroma key algorithm to any video in real-time to make parts of a video transparent.

• Use the chroma key wheel to choose the color closest to the background of the video
• Use the sliders (Hue, Saturation and Brightness) to fine-tune the color so it closely matches the background and makes it transparent
• The color range calculates the distance between pixel color and key color
• A low value means that pixel color must closely match the key color
• Higher values include more shades of key color. At the maximum value, it will make everything transparent
• Falloff (previously 'opacity') defines how fast the transparency falls from opaque to transparent between a color that doesn't match the key color and the color closest to it
• Adjust the color range and Falloff values until your image is clear and you see both your real-life surroundings and the model perfectly

Useful chroma key info 

• There are a number of native chroma key videos that work perfectly for passthrough, plus there are many amateur 'hacks' for specific videos. Check the comments on each scene and you will often find the best recommended settings. 
• Our dev team is also working on adding exciting backdrops for these chroma key scenes, so you can enjoy amazing settings - similar to the hugely popular Space Orgasm scene. This means you can either enjoy scenes like Therapy and Temptation in passthrough or with an all-new background, such as medieval fantasy, sci-fi, pirate, cyberpunk and more. 

Notes

• Keep in mind that black is not an ideal color for keying - all black/dark zones will be "erased" no matter where they are located on the image. For example, black hair, black clothes and eyes will become transparent
• The algorithm is pretty simple for performance reasons and doesn't recognize objects at runtime
• For best results, we recommend preparing the chroma key background in the video in the post-production/editing stage
• Due to hardware limitations, passthrough is only supported for PCVR for the Valve Index, however, you can use passthrough on your standalone Quest or Pico headset using the DeoVR app on your headset 
• Creators should note that computer-generated content can be converted to alpha channel passthrough very easily - when rendering, simply render the alpha/object buffer of the main subject (or whatever you want to remain visible)

Additionally, the v13.5 update of the SLR app has seen a number of improvements to the chroma key tool: 

• The color range slider is now less sensitive
• The color box is now visible when dragging sliders
• Improved performance when using the color wheel
• An icon has been added to thumbnails on the hub so users can easily see which videos have passthrough configured

Valve Users

If you're having trouble getting Passthrough to work on Valve Index, try this: double-press the button on the bottom left of the headset. This enables the camera to work during the scene. 

Useful Tips

Our users have also come up with some ideas and suggestions that can help you get the most out of this amazing new function: 

• It takes trial and error. Experiment with the opacity and saturation levels first to find out what works best for you and your surroundings, then try adjusting other settings. 
• Some users feel that white backgrounds (walls, bed sheets, etc) work better than dark backgrounds, as the white can act as a type of green screen.  
• Be aware of certain elements, such as underwear that matches the background (eg. white underwear on a white background) or shadows in scenes with dark backgrounds as the passthrough function will show them as see-through. 
• Play around with your position. For example, if the actress has her head in your lap, you can line it up so your penis matches up with the actor’s, making it feel like you’re actually there in the room. People have said that blowjobs and standing facials feel especially good in passthrough. 
• The settings work differently on different videos - one level of opacity will work well for a particular scene or studio, but not for another, so you may need to adjust it each time. 
• JOI (jerk-off instruction) videos have a lot of potential with this feature to enhance intimacy. Try some of the JOI playlists on SLR to see which will work best. 
• Some users feel it works better in low-light situations, so try turning the lights off in your room when trying this, to decrease the visibility of imperfections.

How To Use Alpha Channel
