Passthrough AR porn on Quest Pro vs VIVE XR Elite vs Pico4

The SLR devs have been looking at the difference between passthrough AR porn on various headsets. In this video you can compare the quality of passthrough AR porn on three different VR headsets: Quest Pro vs VIVE XR Elite vs Pico4. 

Please note: Passthrough AR porn is best on the Meta Quest Pro (stereoscopic color passthrough and the Pico 4 (monoscopic color passthrough). It is compatible with the Quest 2 and Valve Index, although it is monoscopic black and white. Passthrough is not yet compatible with Oculus Link to PCVR or the VIVE XR Elite headset. 

This video gives a closer look at the quality of detail and sharpness of the passthrough image on the VIVE XR Elite compared to the Pico4 headset: 

Faizal, the dev who took the lead on this, said: “Disappointingly, the VIVE XR Elite does not provide much of an upgrade in terms of the passthrough environment detail quality, compared to the Pico4 headsets. I perceived the image quality on the Pico4 as slightly sharper.”

Please note, the SLR and DeoVR apps do not currently support the VIVE XR Elite headset. This was arranged as a quick experiment to test out the quality of passthrough.
